Children’s Activities
Upstairs in The “Funtime” Kid’s Korner

​As the children’s activities and playroom Sponsor, “Funtime Inflatables & Party Rentals” provides Legos, puzzles and movies for the little ones in the upstairs “Funtime Kid’s Korner”.  “Funtime Inflatables & Party Rentals” also provides concessions just for the little ones like Cotton Candy, Snow Cones and Pop Corn available for purchase right in the Kid’s Korner. 

Saturday, February 4th, 2017
11:00 am- 6 pm: Legos, Puzzles, Movies and Concessions
Wilmington’s “Funtime Inflatables & Party Rentals”

11:00 am-6:00 pm: “Shark Fun”
The NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher will provide an education station where children can learn about sharks and their habitats. Children will see real shark jaws and dig for shark’s teeth!

11:00 am: “Kid’s Art Project”
Georgia Mastroieni, Director of Youth and Family, Education, Cameron Museum of Art
The Cameron Art Museum will host an exciting art project where children are  invited to delve into their creativity and self-expression. Supplies will be provided. Information regarding children’s programming and other educational opportunities provided at the museum will be available. 

1:00 pm: “Hands-On Science Fun” 
Volunteers/Pepper Hill, Outreach Educator, Cape Fear Museum of History
Join volunteers from Cape Fear Museum as they host an exciting hands-on science activity!  Children will engage in hands-on science investigations designed to ignite their curiosity and encourage family fun together! Children’s programming and other educational opportunities provided by the museum will be available.
        
3:00 pm: “Hands-On Planting Fun”
Horticultural Staff of The Ability Garden, The New Hanover County Arboretum      

The Ability Garden will provide a hands-on planting activity for kids of all ages. Children will learn how to plant and care for chocolate mint plants!  Plus, they’ll take them home to watch them grow. All supplies will be provided. The Ability Garden provides direct services to disabled and disadvantaged members of our community.  Information about the Arboretum’s program will be available. 

Sunday, February 5th, 2017

12:00 am: “Children’s Build & Grow Project"
Staff of Myrtle Grove/Monkey Junction
Lowe’s Home Improvement Store
Volunteer staff of Lowes will present the Children’s Build & Grow program. At this Kids Clinic, children will enjoy building a wooden project that they can take home with them and enjoy.  All supplies will be provided for this fun activity.
